Metallurgist Day in Ukraine is celebrated on the third Sunday of July.

In 2019, metallurgical and mining workers need to be congratulated on July 21.

On this holiday, Ukrainians celebrate the work of various "metal wizards" who mine ore, smelting cast iron, steel or rolling.

This holiday is important for residents of cities in which factories or mines operate. In such cities, celebrations associated with the Day of the Metallurgist are often held.

At first the holiday was called so, but on June 27, 2006, the President of Ukraine signed Decree N584 / 2006, which renamed it the Day of Workers in the Metallurgical and Mining Industries.
